One to one

I offer personal practices for all of you so your yoga can be as suitable, safe and effective as possible for you. Maybe you have questions or issues with specific practices in the classes but prefer not to discuss them, or just assume that you need to ‘make do’ with what everyone else is doing (not so!). Or you might like to have some yoga tuned just for you that you can pick up whenever you like.

If you want to tailor your yoga practice for you, you can. It’s so versatile. Outside of your classes, you can choose to make yoga a regular part of your life; whether you want more asana (postures) pranayama (breathing), or dhyana (meditation). It can be 5 or 10 minutes a day, or an hour a week, you can choose whatever you want to fit into your life. You can do it in your home, garden, or office chair. Yoga can be for personal development or for therapy. Really, anything goes!

Individual classes last about an hour, they can be taken online, outside or in a spacious room, this can be arranged to suit you. The usual fee for face-to-face sessions is £50 per hour (less if on Zoom. more if in your own home).

If you are interested in finding out more or booking a personal class, please get in touch. You don’t have to commit to anything, just ask away.

Workshops

Yoga For the Spine. A Morning Yoga Workshop

November 2nd

Nearly everyone has back pain at one time or another. Whether it’s caused by strain, injury, the effects of misaligned posture or the stress of life, the best thing to do is not to rest in bed! Lying around can be counterproductive leading to a loss of strength and an increase in pain. Most doctors will recommend people start gentle activities from the first day the pain begins. A yoga practice can be a perfect way to heal, strengthen and carefully stretch the spine. However, because we are all different, there is no one-size-fits-all remedy. This yoga workshop will offer techniques to look after your back and show you how to reduce the likelihood of pain ever happening again.
Pauline Cook and I will be teaching this 3-hour Saturday session at Yatton Village Hall The Causeway, Yatton, BS49 4HL on November 2nd

Time: Arrive at 9.50 for a 10 am start. Finish around 1 pm
